Continued Funding for the MiCT Co-Working Space
For many Russian-speaking exiled journalists and media professionals, the co-working space ‘MiCT Roof’ became a safe haven last year for a community of like-minded individuals to meet, discuss, and support each other. By participating together in training opportunities and events, the dialogue between exiled media professionals and German media was also strengthened.
Starting in July 2024, the JX Fund will enable the continuation of the co-working space. Up to 15 media professionals can work simultaneously in the facilities and use the existing infrastructure for co-production. In the evenings, language courses, training sessions, and events will be offered. In the moderated online community, there is a continuous exchange on employment, vacancies, scholarships, events, fundraising, and other topics.
The goal is to enable continued work while simultaneously creating networking opportunities with German media houses, production companies, foundations, and politics to leverage synergies for future professional prospects. Interested individuals can register for inclusion in the community, which has named itself ‘ICEBERG,’ via this form.
